A customized 420 mm gauge ZQ-13 pneumatic rock loader has completed factory testing for an overseas mining customer.

The air loader was built for a narrow-gauge underground rail system and tested on a 420 mm track before delivery.

Factory Test for a Customized Rail Gauge

During the factory test, the ZQ-13 pneumatic rock loader was placed on the narrow-gauge test track to check its running condition, pneumatic control response and bucket movement.

The inspection focused on the customer’s customized 420 mm rail gauge, which is narrower than the standard gauge options listed for the regular ZQ-13 model. This customized design allows the loader to match the customer’s existing underground rail layout.

Our technicians checked the machine structure, air pipeline arrangement, operating controls and movement of the bucket assembly. The test helped confirm that the loader could move smoothly on the narrow rail and meet the working requirements before shipment.

ZQ-13 Pneumatic Rock Loader for Narrow Underground Roadways

The ZQ-13 is a rail-mounted pneumatic rock loader designed for loading broken rock and ore in underground mining and tunneling projects.

Its compact body and pneumatic drive make it suitable for narrow underground roadways where electric or diesel equipment may not be the best choice. The loader scoops material from the working face and discharges it backward into a mine car positioned behind the machine.

According to the standard ZQ-13 product information, the model features a 0.13 m3 bucket, an operating slope of less than 5 degrees and an applicable tunnel size of 1.7 m x 1.9 m or above. The standard product page lists 600 mm, 762 mm and 900 mm gauge options, while this project required a special 420 mm gauge configuration.
