HNYT Equipment has shipped a batch of ZQ-13 Pneumatic Air Rock Loaders to an Africa mining client. The shipment features the ZQ-13 Pneumatic Air Rock Loader, widely known across the industry as the Chinese version of the 12B pneumatic air rock loader. This rugged, air-powered rocker shovel is purpose-built to boost productivity in narrow-vein mining and small-section tunneling.

High-Speed Loading: Fills a 1 m³ Mine Car in Just Tens of Seconds

The ZQ-13 air rock loader is engineered for speed. Its 0.13 m³ bucket delivers a loading capacity of 1.0–1.2 m³ per minute, meaning it fills a standard 1 cubic meter (1 m³) mine car in just tens of seconds — a cycle time that dramatically improves underground mucking efficiency.

The machine is driven by an 8.83 kW tramming motor and a 15 kW bucket-raising motor, both running on standard 0.45–0.86 MPa compressed air. With overall dimensions of only 2,230 × 1,200 × 1,200 mm and a weight of 1,950 kg, this pneumatic air rock loader operates comfortably in tunnels as small as 1.7 m wide by 1.9 m high. Track gauge is fully customizable (457m~900mm) to match existing mine rail.

Because the ZQ-13 runs entirely on compressed air, it eliminates electrical ignition risks and is safe for gaseous, hazardous underground environments. Heavy-duty construction — including a manganese steel bucket, 20CrMnTi alloy steel gears, pure copper shaft bushings, and a reinforced chassis — ensures reliable service life under abrasive, high-impact loading conditions.

As a direct functional replacement for the classic 12B, this air rock loader retains the same 0.13 m³ bucket and the familiar dual-lever pneumatic controls.
